An Evening of Drama and Musical Theatre
Saturday 30th April, 7.30pm - Sharnbrook Mill Theatre

Local drama groups show off their talents with short pieces or excerpts from their shows, spanning both drama and musicals. Performances from Harrold’s Ad Hoc, Turvey’s Fysh2Fry, Bedford’s Marianettes, Riseley Community Theatre, Sharnbrook Mill Youth Group and Riseley Community Theatre Youth Section.

Liquorice Allsorts
Sunday 1st May, 7.30pm - St Mary’s Church, Felmersham

Even if you don't like liquorice, you'll love the sweet music of this versatile clarinet quartet. The programme tells a story of classical music moving into the last century, with British, French and Belgian composers. This will be complemented by light music from recent years and some soon-to-be-discovered gems with Scottish and African rhythms to set your foot tapping.

An Evening with Brian Clemens
Monday 2nd May, 7.30pm - The Barn, Milton Ernest

Join Alan Dedicoat (from BBC Radio 2's Terry Wogan team and the National Lottery's ‘Voice of the Balls’) as he talks to Bedfordshire author Brian Clemens, creator of The Avengers, The Professionals, My Wife Next Door and many other hit TV shows, about his career in TV and stage play writing including the major 'Professionals' movie due out this year!

Young Performers
Wednesday 4th May, 7pm - St Thomas More School Theatre, Tyne Crescent, Bedford

'Recognising the rich tradition of music and music education in Bedfordshire, the concert will showcase young musicians and singers who are at the grass roots of music provision. Soloists, ensembles and choirs will perform a wide variety of items. For the first time at the Festival, there will also be a display of popular street dance from the locally-based group DanceVybz, who have performed nationally and internationally.

Jeanette Ager & Viv McLeanAn Evening of Voice and Piano
Friday 6th May, 7.30pm - The Barn, Carlton

Jeanette Ager (Mezzo-Soprano) and Viv McLean (Pianist) present a programme of Opera Arias, songs by Richard Strauss and Enescu, English Songs, and piano pieces by Chopin. Jeanette and Viv both have distinguished careers as individual artists, but they perform together with a striking degree of empathy and technical complementarity. In 2009 Jeanette sang as the mezzo soloist in Elijah with Bedford Choral Society. Come and hear her again! Our thanks to John Watson for generously supporting

Piano Recital (Piano Not Included)
Saturday 7th May, 7.30pm - St Peter’s Church, Harrold

The evening opens with Paul Edwards playing a selection of popular organ pieces as a prelude to The Goldman Ensemble's piano recital with a difference. ‘Piano Recital (Piano Not Included)’ is written, acted and performed by The Goldman Ensemble, four exceptional musicians playing violin, French horn, tuba and percussion. It explores the backstage disasters as well as the daily joys and struggles of professional musicians. What happens when a pianist is booked but a tuba player arrives? Full of humour, combining music and theatre, they share their love of music and a joie de vivre that is impossible to resist.

Guided Walk with Extras
Sunday 8th May, 2pm - Priory Country Park, Bedford

Meet at the Visitor Centre at 2pm to join a Ranger for a guided walk round Priory Country Park, with art and music along the way. Finish with a display of wildlife photography and cream tea back at the visitor centre.

‘Wild at Art’
18th April to 19th May - Eagle Gallery, 101 Castle Road, Bedford

An exhibition by the members of Eagle Gallery Artists, on the theme of wildlife and the natural world.
Workshops and other events will link with this exhibition. The Gallery is a unique venue run by 45 Bedfordshire artists, who exhibit their work in shows which change monthly, so there is always something new to see.

Opening hours: Monday to Saturday, 10am – 5.30pm

Free entry, wheelchair accessible.
